Cisco Corporate Identity

Visualizing the brand essence:

In 2006, Jerry Kuyper partnered with Joe Finocchiaro to assess and redesign the Cisco Systems corporate identity. The new identity was released as part of a $100 million (USD) marketing campaign with the theme: "Welcome to the human network."

  This work was recently acknowledged as the best rebranding event in 2006 in a Conference Board review of new visual identities by independent identity consultant, Tony Spaeth.   

Says Jerry, "Our primary objectives were to:

  • Align the visual identity of Cisco with a new positioning that was developed internally,
  • Improve the ease of reproducing the logo across all media, and
  • Maintain some DNA of the Cisco bridge - a specific request from CEO John Chambers."
