Citibank Private BankStreamlining account-opening: Citibank realized that it was creating a problem for its most desirable customers by leading them through a checkerboard of forms to open a relationship. Patrick Ohlin’s old firm, Siegel & Gale, was asked to streamline the process. Patrick led a team that reviewed user needs, met with private bankers and worked tirelessly with Legal Counsel to develop a simplified system of forms that lived up to the promise of the premium service for which the Private Bank was known. When introduced, the user-friendly account opening package made for an elegant and inviting presentation, dramatically reduced the paperwork burden for the sales force, facilitated the account-opening process by mapping data to back-office needs, and continues to stand the test of time.
